Premier Birth Center in Chantilly
For as long as I can remember, I've had an interest in childbirth and women's health. From watching "Birth Day," "A Baby Story" and much more on a daily basis, as a school-aged child, to being 12 and caring for my mom after her hysterectomy that resulted in third-degree burn. I have always had a desire to care for women and children.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Hampton University. Working as a nurse, I had the opportunity to witness different models of care, which in turn allowed me to narrow down and strengthen my own beliefs about the care I'd like to provide. After working as a Registered Nurse, I decided to pursue my career in Midwifery at Frontier Nursing University.
I personally believe in the physiological birthing experience and helping people take charge of their birth experience. I believe as women, we are powerful beings and if given the opportunity we can do anything we put our minds to. Each day I go to work is another day to inspire someone and to help them over that edge of doubt.
I want to provide holistic care while empowering and inspiring each individual to achieve what someone else once may have told them they couldn’t do. Even beyond birth, I want to provide individualized care to each woman I come in contact with. I believe part of my reason for being on this earth is to advocate for women and allow for shared decision-making. This can be as early as the teenage years and through all stages of life.
I feel blessed and honored, and never take for granted any time I am given the privilege to participate in such monumental moments for women and their families, and am excited to be a part of the Premier Birth Center Family!
