Mental Wellness is as Important as Physical Wellness

Reid Byrne offers perinatal mental wellness care for Premier Birth Center clients. Calling upon her experience as a Certified Nurse-Midwife, Reid provides a holistic approach to mental health care. Whether your needs are counseling/therapy, medications, or ongoing medication follow-up, Reid's expertise and experience are important resources for your mental wellness needs through your pregnancy and postpartum time. We are currently not in-network for mental health services, so these appointments are available at a discounted self-pay rate.

Mental Wellbeing

Initial Assessment

60 Minutes: $150

Approximately 15 to 20 percent of all women experience some form of pregnancy-related depression or anxiety. If this happens to you, it is important to know you are not alone and Premier Birth Center is here to help. Through our secure and convenient telehealth platform, our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner can conduct mental health screenings and spend time getting to know your personal history and goals for achieving optimal mental and emotional wellbeing. We also offer preconception counseling for individuals who are currently taking psychiatric medications and want to know about the safety of medications during pregnancy. Together, we will develop a care plan that works for you.

Medication Follow-Up

30 Minutes: $100

If your Mental Wellbeing Assessment leads our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner to prescribe medication to calm your distress, we will conduct follow-up appointments to make sure your medication is working and that you are feeling better. We may decide to adjust your medication and/or discuss if you would benefit from additional support services.

Counseling/Therapy

60 Minutes: $150

Many women benefit from longer therapy sessions and ongoing care to support their mental health and emotional wellbeing. Reid offers therapy and will work with you to develop customized, effective coping strategies.
