Lynn's journey to midwifery began with the births of her own children, attended by midwives in both the hospital and home setting. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Portuguese, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing- Midwifery and a Post Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

 

She has worked as a Spanish teacher, a doula, grassroots marketing manager for Ricki Lake and Abby Epstein's "Business of Being Born," and as a labor and delivery nurse at UVA (where she received a Daisy award) before becoming a midwife. Lynn is passionate about safe and empowering birth, lactation, and perinatal mental health. She cares for all persons with a uterus from menarche to menopause.
